High Heels Training
Everyone has seen it: a woman wearing sky-high heels who can't walk in them at all. A terrible sight. It doesn't matter whether you wear your high heels at work, at a party or on the runway, the fact is, if you wear high heels, you should be able to walk in them. To start with, it doesn't have to be the popular 5-inch (12 cm) ones. We give you tips for optimal high heels training.
High Heels Training - Invest in Good Shoes
There's no denying that a pair of Louboutins costs a small fortune, but real craftsmanship goes into these high-quality designer shoes. The heel is placed exactly where it has to bear the most weight, and the sole area under the ball of the foot is ideally cushioned. With cheap shoes, sore feet are usually guaranteed. Cheap faux leather makes your feet start sweating quickly, which leads to blisters. On top of that, the heels are often in the wrong place, so they sometimes even simply snap off. For this reason, it's better to invest a little more in your shoes.
High heels training means practice, practice and practice
Beginners can't get around practicing walking in high heels. The best way to start is with 2 inches (5 cm), worn at home. While walking, pay attention to your gait and an upright posture. If you feel like you're stalking around like a stork, it may be because the shoes don't fit properly and you're clawing at the sole with your toes. Thin leather insoles can help.
Cheating Is Allowed If you suffer from burning balls of the feet in your high heels, there are special silicone inserts you can place in the sole area. The padding reduces the pressure and relaxes your feet. If you want to dance all night or go on a shopping spree in high heels, these insoles are a must.
Give Your Feet a Break Every high heels training routine should include giving your feet a break. Walking in high shoes for long stretches puts a lot of strain on tendons and muscles. To avoid muscle cramps, make sure you only walk in high shoes for a few hours. Switch between different shoes during the day, such as flats, stilettos, sneakers, high heels, etc.
High Heels Training - Keep Your Feet on the Ground Even if famous stars walk elegantly on 5 inches (12 cm), in high heels training you should keep your feet on the ground and settle for 3 inches (8 cm). Anything above 3 inches (8 cm) is good for bed at most, for over-the-top celebrity posturing, or are so-called sit-down shoes. So don't force yourself into 5-inch (12 cm) shoes during high heels training.
