Young girls have known exactly what a model roster is since long before Germany's Next Topmodel. Even then, the roster was seen as a place where dreams can come true. Whoever's file is kept in this place has made it. A model roster stores all the photos and details of the different girls. When a client is looking for a suitable model for his campaign, the agency quickly checks the roster for the right comp cards. The client can then decide for himself which model he finally wants to see in his photo spread. Every professional agency has such a binder with all its modeling women. The model roster is regularly stocked with updated comp cards, because up-to-date pictures matter especially for models.

Model Roster - The Right Roster for Every Group
At a professional agency, the different models are sorted into different rosters. That way certain groups can be found faster. If a client wants a child model, for example, the agency first checks the child model roster. There are separate binders with pictures for men, women, children and even animals. Very exotic rosters are also kept, because some clients only want very specific model types. The model roster records precisely when and where a model has had a job. That way the new client can see exactly what the model has already advertised. Sometimes a lot of experience pays off, but sometimes clients also look for girls who are not yet overexposed and have therefore appeared little in catalogs and on posters.
Model Roster - The Path
Many girls wish for an entry in a model roster. To get one, however, they first need the famous comp card. But only women who truly have what it takes to be a model receive one. In the fashion industry especially, very tall and particularly thin girls are preferred. In the beauty industry, on the other hand, what counts is that the girl has a beautiful face. No matter how tall she is, with the right face she too can get onto the model roster. There are also jobs that focus only on certain areas of the body. Hand and foot models are therefore very welcome too. It is important that every girl is honest in her details. There is no point in making yourself look younger or older, because older models are also often needed for catalogs. If you are unsure, you should bring a parent or guardian, or a friend, to your first meeting.
